Our house, Maison de Girafe (Giraffe House) is a superb 4 bedroom property in the heart of Samoens village to sleep 10, with over 2,200 square foot of space (excluding the basement) arranged over 4 floors.
From experience we know that the location of a property when on holiday is vital and therefore we have spent several years ensuring we found the right place. As a result Maison de Girafe is ideally situated, just off the main village square with its shops and numerous restaurants and bars. It is located only 50m away from the Ski Bus stop if really necessary but in reality a walk to the Grand Massif Express Ski lift would take you less than 5 minutes. The house is located in square M7 of the Samoens village map. As a result a car most certainly isn’t essential.

The property is in such a great position and also benefits from a large lawned garden. It is opposite Le Giffre river and benefits from having direct access onto biking and walking trails. It is also an easy walk down to the Park where you will find Indiana Adventure Park and Leisure Centre. There is a man made beach, driving range, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
The house has been recently renovated and newly furnished by us and we have tried to make sure we have included everything you would need for a really special holiday. It has flexible accommodation so would be suitable for families or groups of friends without compromising on comfort.
The key feature of the living space is the large open plan ground floor which combines the kitchen, dining and lounge areas. In the summer the large doors can be flung open to access the patio and large private garden. The well equipped kitchen with full size oven and gas hob, microwave, large fridge and dishwasher is more than adequate to provide for the 10 guests sat at the specially commissioned dining table that we hope becomes the focal point of any holiday.

If all else fails the Satellite TV, DVD’s, Playstation or MP3 dock can assist the wind down.
Stairs lead from the living area up to the first floor where there are 3 large bedrooms. Bed 1 is a family room having both a double bed and adult sized bunkbeds with access onto the south facing balcony. Bed 2 has a double bed and also access to the balcony. Bed 3 is a spacious twin bedded room. The first floor also benefits from two bathrooms and a separate toilet.
Off the first floor landing stairs lead up to an extremely spacious loft style bedroom with ensuite bathroom. This bedroom has a superking bed which can be made into 2 singles and has its own lounge area, containing bean bags, television and DVD just in case anyone feels the need to get away from it all or the kids needs their own space.
In the basement of the property there are two large storage rooms. One contains the boiler which is ideal for drying ski boots or wet weather gear whilst the other has a washing machine and provides ample safe secure storage for mountain bikes, golf clubs or the like.
If you are driving to Samoens the property has plenty of private parking space and there is room for two cars under the covered car port adjacent to the house – less snow clearing required.
